If you’re on this page, you likely encountered an error while trying to activate or use the Page Sizer add-on for Google Docs. Here are the most common issues and how to fix them.


1. Paid for the add-on but wasn’t redirected to the sizing dashboard

This is a common occurrence. After completing your purchase, there is no automatic redirect to the Page Sizer dashboard. You need to manually enter the email address you used during checkout into the input field and click Activate.


2. Error: “ScriptError: Authorization is required to perform that action” or “An error occurred while verifying the subscription. Please try again.”

This error can occur due to several permission-related issues.

2.1 Approving Page Sizer access to your document

When installing the add-on, a window will appear asking you to approve access to your document. You must check all 3 checkboxes for the add-on to function properly.

To fix this:

  1. Uninstall the add-on
  2. Reinstall it from the Google Workspace Marketplace.
  3. When prompted, make sure to check all the checkboxes to grant full access.

2.2 Permissions for a business Google account

If you’re using a business email (e.g., [email protected]) instead of a personal Gmail account, your organization’s settings may be blocking the add-on. As a workaround, click on your Google profile and switch to a user with a @gmail.com-based email.

Note: You still need to verify with the same email you used for the purchase.

2.3 Permissions for your Chrome profile

Similar to the above, you may also need to switch your Chrome user profile to one linked to a @gmail.com account.


3. “No active subscription found for this email.”

This usually means there’s a mismatch with your email address. Please double-check:

  • There are no typos in the email you entered.
  • The email matches the one you used when making the purchase.
